A young Christchurch man got a woman to sexually violate her 1-year-old boy so he could buy the recording, court charges say.
Matthew Garland Kelly, 21, of Halswell, faces 16 charges relating to young children in offences allegedly committed between December 2013 and August last year.
The charges were laid in the Christchurch District Court.
Kelly received a registrar’s remand to November 3 and did not appear in court on Tuesday.
The charges cover a range of offences, including directing a mother to sexually violate her boy and then paying her for the digital recording of the act.
He is also charged with offering money to a woman, in an online chat, to spend time alone with her children having described the sexual acts he would perform on the children.
