“Anger is Not Abuse” – a presentation by Warwick Pudney, Development Manager, Better Blokes

Anger is different from abuse; abuse is not okay, it damages people, relationships, and things that harm other people.

Anger is usually depicted as red, that’s because there’s a lot of blood and excitement going through our bodies when we’re feeling angry. It’s very noticeable and that’s because we want people to notice that we are feeling angry. We feel angry because there’s something wrong. The important thing to remember with anger is that it’s an emotion, it’s something that you feel that is inside your body. It’s not an outside thing although people might look at us and take cues from how we look. It’s there to protect us and energize our body so it protects us and motivates us to do something to correct whatever isn’t right.
