A 12-year-old girl managed a lucky escape from a man who tried to abduct her in Hamilton this afternoon.
The girl was walking along Amethyst Ave in Chartwell when a man grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into his car.
She managed to escape when the man went around the car to get into the driver’s seat.
Hamilton police are investigating the attempted abduction and are appealing to the public for witnesses.
