In a bid to reward her saviour, Sedgebeer launched a crowdfunding campaign to help “get him on his feet”.
The tally currently stands at more than £12,000 (NZ$25,700).
“Mark embodies the best of humanity. He went out of his way to help me, a complete stranger, when the reality of his situation is that people walk past him every day without offering him help,” Sedgebeer wrote on the Just Giving page.
