Vote Compass Drinking age should be raised

More than 60% of people think the drinking age should be raised, a new Vote Compass survey has found.

The purchasing age is currently 18-years-old, though 64% of Vote Compass respondents thought the age should be raised.

Thirty four percent said the age should stay about the same as it is now and just 2% wanted it lowered.

MPs voted to keep the drinking age at 18 in 2012 during an overhaul of the alcohol laws
