Last night, her mum Linda said the case in Ireland showed attitudes hadn’t progressed little since her daughter’s death.
Linda said: “I was shocked when I heard about the case and it brought all the hurt back.
“There was an outcry after Lindsay’s case and I thought things would definitely change and there would be progress but there hasn’t.
“In 2018, we are still having the same conversation. Maybe this case will make a difference but I really don’t know. I hope it will.”
