Former National Party president Michelle Boag has lashed out at female Green and Labour MPs who walked out of Parliament over John Key’s “backing rapists” comment, saying they made the issue of Kiwis in detention centres “all about them.”
Boag was a guest on Mark Sainsbury’s political panel on RadioLIVE along with political commentator Josie Pagani when she made the comment.
“I was a bit disgusted by those women standing up and parading their victimhood as if it was something special,” Boag said.
