Arun Kumar, 57, died in his Henderson dairy after being attacked on June the 10th. The police said he appeared to have stab wounds to his neck.
Two boys, aged 12 and 13 were charged in relation to the killing.
The 12-year-old, who is charged with manslaughter and assault with intent to rob, appeared at the High Court in Auckland on Wednesday, with members of his family looking on from the public gallery.
